Tai Situ Rinpoche puhuu San Franciscoon rakennettavasta stupasta ja suuresta siunauksesta, jonka se tuo yhteisölle:
"Dharman seuraajat San Franciscossa tahtovat rakentaa stupan San Franciscoon. Se on hienoa, koska stupa edustaa Buddhan kehoa, puhetta ja mieltä ja erityisesti mieltä. Buddha määritellään sellaiseksi, joka on kokonaan vapaa kaikista rajoituksista ja joka on saavuttanut täydellisen rauhan, se on Buddha. Mutta sanskritiksi häntä kutsutaan Buddhaksi ja stupa edustaa Buddhan kehoa, puhetta ja mieltä, erityisesti mieltä.
Ja sellaisessa paikassa kuin Kalifornia, erityisesti San Franciscossa, kun ihmiset haluavat sitä, heidän tulisi saada se. Koska Dharma on vain siellä missä ihmiset toivovat Dharmaa. Dharma on joka paikassa, mutta kun ihmiset toivovat, se tulee näkyväksi. Kaikki on Dharmaa, mutta kun ihmiset toivovat, se ilmentyy. Joten kun san franciscolaiset toivovat stupaa, se ilmestyy.
Ja Kalachakra stupa, joka täällä halutaan rakentaa, on hyvin ainutlaatuinen. Stupalla on itse asiassa kahdeksan aspektia, ja ne kuvaavat Buddha Shakyamunin elämän kahdeksaa eri puolta. Mutta Kalachakra on sen yläpuolella, Kalachakra on korkein tantra tai Buddhan ilmentymän korkein aspekti.
Stupan kahdeksan aspektia edustavat Buddhan nirmanakaya-kehoa, mutta Kalachakra edustaa sambhogakayaa, ja Kalachakra on tantroista korkein. Siksi Kalachakra stupa on ylhäisin kaikista stupista.
Tietenkin kun stupa tehdään, se täytyy tehdä kunnolla. Kunnolla tarkoittaa, että sen täytyy olla oikeassa suunnassa tuon paikan ympäristön suhteen, ja se täytyy tehdä oikeista aineksista, niin että ainekset ovat ympäristön kannalta oikeita. Jos kyseessä on paikka, missä on paljon kiviainesta, se pitäisi tehdä kivestä. Mutta jos paikassa tehdään paljon rakennustöitä sementistä, se pitäisi tehdä sementistä. Jos se taas asetetaan alttarille temppeliin, se pitäisi tehdä sellaisesta materiaalista, jonka voi kullata. Joten rakennusmateriaalin ja ympäristön tulisi sopia yhteen. Niiden tulisi olla sopusoinnussa. Stupa itsessään on sopusointuinen, mutta sen rakennusmateriaalien tulisi myös olla harmoniassa ympäristön kanssa.
Ja kun sellainen rakennelma tehdään kunnolla ja pyhitetään kunnolla, sillä on siunaava vaikutus. Siunaus on määritelmän mukaan elävä asia. Joten aina kun ihmiset näkevät sen, he tuntevat sen vaikutuksen. Kuka sitten käveleekin sen ympäri, se vaikuttaa häneen myönteisellä tavalla: jos hän on surullinen, se tekee iloiseksi, jos vihainen, se tekee myötätuntoiseksi, jos masentunut, se tekee onnelliseksi, jos hämmennyksen vallassa, se kirkastaa mielen ja poistaa hämmennyksen.
Sen on siis tarkoitus auttaa, ja jotta niin tapahtuisi, mittasuhteiden, piirustusten, pyhityksen, kaiken täytyy olla kunnolla tehtyä. Silloin sillä on täysi vaikutus.
Oli miten oli, toivon teille kaikkea hyvää ja että toiveenne rakentaa stupa, Kalachakra stupa San Franciscoon, toteutuu. Toivon että se tuo rauhan ja sopusoinnun kaikille jotka näkevät sen, koskettavat sitä ja jotka kävelevät sen ympäri. Kaikkien hyvien toivotusten myötä siunatkoon Buddha teitä."

Transcription: Tai Situ Rinpoche discusses the building of a Stupa in San Francisco and the great blessings it will bestow on the community.
Followers of Dharma from San Francisco wish to make a stupa in San Francisco. It is wonderful because stupa represents Buddha’s body, speech and mind and specially the mind. Buddha defines that one who is ultimately free from all limitation and one who reached ultimate peace, that is Buddha. That transcends all aspect of ideology, all aspect of this thought and that thought.
Everybody wants to be free and everybody wants to have limitless freedom. Limitless freedom, limitless wisdom, when you attain that, you are called Buddha according to the Sanskrit lineage, and in other lineages it can be called differently. But in Sanskrit language it is called Buddha. And stupa represents Buddha’s body, speech and mind, specially the mind.
And place like California, specially San Francisco, when people want it, they should have it. Because Dharma is only there when people wish for Dharma. Dharma is everywhere, but when people wish, it manifests. Everything is Dharma, but when people wish, it manifests. So, when San Francisco people wish for a stupa, it will manifest.
And the Kalachakra stupa that all the followers wish to build, it is very unique. Actually there are eight aspects of stupa that represent eight aspects of the life of Buddha Shakyamuni. But Kalachakra is above that, Kalachakra is the highest tantra or the highest aspect of the manifestation of Buddha.
The eight aspects of stupa represent Buddha’s nirmanakaya body, nirmanakaya life, but Kalachakra represents the sambhogakaya, and the Kalachakra is the highest of tantra. Therefore Kalachakra stupa is the highest of all stupas.
And of course when one makes a stupa it has to be made properly. When I say properly, it has to face the right direction according to the environment of that place and it has to be made of the right material, so that according to that environment that material is right. If it is a place where there are lots of stones, then it should be made out of stone. If it is a place where there is lots of concrete work, then it should be made out of concrete. But [if] it should be enshrined in a temple, then it should be made with material that it can be gilded. So it depends on what kind of material and environment that matches. It should be in harmony. Itself is harmony but material also has to be in harmony with the environment.
And such structure, when it is properly made and properly consecrated, then it has blessing. So the blessing by definition it is a living thing. So whenever people see it, they feel it. Whoever goes around it, it influences them in a positive way, so that if they are sad, it will make them happy, if they are angry it will make them compassionate, if they are depressed, it will make them happy and joyful, if they have confusion it will make their mind clear so that there is no confusion.
So it is supposed to help, and for that to happen the proportion, the design and the consecration, everything has to be made properly. Then it will have the full effect. Anyway, I wish you all my best and your wishful building a stupa, the Kalachakra stupa in San Francisco will come into reality.
